QA Game Tester (Junior level)

As our products grow in scale and we continue to improve the player experience, Nexar Games is looking for a Junior QA Game Tester with logical thinking, attention to detail and a passion for games.

At Nexar Games, QA Game Testers play an important role in testing products before release. You will not only test the product against requirements, but also take the initiative to analyse it and contribute ideas to improve gameplay and the player experience.

Responsibilities

• Analyse design documents and feature requirements to define the scope of testing.
• Create test cases and checklists, and prepare appropriate test data.
• Conduct manual testing on devices, covering gameplay, UI/UX, progression, economy, compatibility and other relevant features.
• Identify, reproduce and document bugs in detail, providing all the information needed to support bug fixing.
• Track bug status and carry out confirmation testing and regression testing.
• Work closely with Developers and Game Designers to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
• Provide feedback to improve gameplay and UI/UX.
• Report test results and work progress at each stage of the project.
• Research and apply new tools or AI to improve QA efficiency.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in QA/Software Testing; experience in mobile games is preferred.
• A passion for games, with strong observation skills and the ability to analyse the player experience.
• Solid understanding of Software Testing fundamentals, with proficiency in Functional, Regression, Smoke and Exploratory Testing.
• Strong ability to identify and reproduce bugs, and to write clear, accurate bug reports.
• Strong logical thinking, attention to detail and the ability to analyse problems.
• Able to analyse product requirements and create basic test cases and checklists.
• Able to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
• An ISTQB Foundation Level certification is an advantage.
